The Illinois Walleye Trail is a professionally run tournament circuit dedicated to providing a fun, yet very competitive atmosphere for all. The Trail is primarily based on the Illinois River and Mississippi Rivers and consists of four qualifying events and a year end championship.
Since the inception of the Illinois Walleye Trail in 2001, I have had the privilege to compete on the trail with my father and have made many friendships and memories along the way. My passion for the sport and tournament fishing has inspired me to take on the new challenge of operating the tournament circuit rather than fishing. I have also competed on a professional team circuit for nineteen years and I feel the knowledge gained from this experience has provided me with the tools necessary to offer the best tournament circuit possible. In April of 2011, I purchased the Illinois Walleye Trail from Bob and Linda Kidd, who had a longtime reputation of operating one of the finest one day walleye tournament circuits known. It was a privilege and an honor to have this opportunity and I look forward to continuing the tradition of the trail. |
